LUCIDFX'S FUNDED CHALLENGE CONDITIONS

Maximum Time Limit

The funded trader can go through the evaluation phase for up to one year.

‍The evaluation phase start date will be from the day of issuing the evaluation funded account.

‍If the 1 year has passed and the funded trader has not reached the profit target yet,  will ‎terminate ‎the funded account, and the funded trader will be disqualified.

Profit targets and profit share

• The Profit Target for the $15K Evaluation funded account is $1,050 (Equivalent to 7%).‎

• The Profit Target for the $10K Evaluation funded account is $600 (Equivalent to 6%).‎

• The Profit Target for the $5k Evaluation funded account is $300 (Equivalent to 6%).

Evaluation Phase Profit Share

During the evaluation phase, the funded trader takes home a 50% profit share paid at the end of the evaluation.

tradeable assets

During the evaluation, the funded trader is allowed to trade ONLY the 28 currency pairs specified below:

Major Currency Pairs:
EURUSD, GBPUSD, NZDUSD, AUDUSD, USDCHF, USDCAD, USDJPY.‎

Cross Currency Pairs:
EURGBP, EURNZD, EURAUD, EURCHF, EURCAD, EURJPY, GBPNZD, GBPAUD, ‎GBPCHF, ‎GBPCAD, GBPJPY, NZDAUD, NZDCHF, NZDCAD, NZDJPY, AUDCHF, AUDCAD, AUDJPY, ‎CADCHF, CADJPY, ‎CHFJPY.‎

The funded trader is allowed to trade the currencies pairs specified above ONLY.

Trading Gold & Indices is NOT allowed during the Evaluation Phase.

If the funded trader trades Gold and/or indices during the evaluation phase, all trades will not be counted towards the final evaluation target.

Maximum stop loss value per position

‍The funded trader must have a Stop Loss placed within the 1 minute after placing the order for every and ‎each pending limit order, stop order, and/or market order and for all open trades.‎

‍The funded trader must consider that every market order, pending order, or stop order has ‎a stop loss of a max of 1.5% risk of the initial account balance $. This means that if the funded trader’s ‎account is $12,500, each position’s max risk should be no more than 1.5% x $12,500 = $187.5 per position.‎

‍If the funded trader opens multiple positions on the same currency pair, each position's risk can be up to ‎‎1.5% of the initial account balance (not current recent balance). So, the funded trader can open multiple ‎positions with a 1.5% risk each. For example, the funded trader cannot risk 3% in one trade. However, ‎he/she can open 2, or more, positions with 1.5% risk each on the same or different pairs

PS: Any Profit, Made While Not Having A Stop Loss in Place and/or Risking More Than 1.5% Per Position, Will Not Count Towards The Final Profit Target Objective.

Permitted Trading styles

- All Trading Styles are welcomed. ‎

- EAs are allowed ‎(High-Frequency Scalping EAs is not allowed)

- Hedging is allowed. ‎

- Holding trades overnight is allowed.

- Holding trades over the weekend is allowed.

Minimum active trading days

The funded trader needs to have at least 30 Active Trading Days throughout the ‎evaluation to meet this requirement.

LucidFX defines a trading day by the day the funded trader opens a new trade on a new day.

For example, if the ‎funded trader opens EURUSD trade on Monday, and closes the same trade on Tuesday, this counts as 1 ‎trading day. The active trading day that counts is the day that EURUSD was opened and not the full duration ‎of the trade.‎

The minimum active trading days are NOT calendar days.

Account growth

Once the funded trader has completed the evaluation phase, the account will be funded x4 times the evaluation ‎account size.

‍For the $15K evaluation funded account, you would get a $60K fully funded account upon passing the ‎evaluation.

‎For the $10K evaluation funded account, you would get a $40K fully funded account upon passing the ‎evaluation. ‎

‍For the $5K evaluation funded account, you would get a $20K fully funded account upon passing the ‎evaluation. ‎

Maximum risk exposure & leverage

The Max Risk Exposure for the Evaluation Phase is 5 :1. ‎

Leverage is 100:1 to allow scaling into winning trades.

‍Definition:Maximum Exposure is the maximum amount of lots that a funded trader can have open at ‎one time across all their positions combined. ‎

LucidFX defines Exposure as a trade with a stop loss at risk; therefore, there is an exception to the max ‎exposure rule, and that is if the funded trader moves their stop loss to breakeven or in profit, it frees ‎up the Exposure they had on that trade and allows them to execute more than their max Exposure.‎

‍If the funded trader has 2, or more, positions open in the opposite direction on the same currency pair ‎‎‎(hedging), it does not reduce the max risk exposure.‎

For example, if a funded trader is on a $12.5k Evaluation Funded Account, they have a max exposure of 0.60 lots (5:1). They could split Exposure however they like. But if they had, for example, 1 long position on GBPUSD of 0.60 lots, and they moved their stop to breakeven, or in profit, they could then add a further 0.60 lots either on the same currency pair or a different one.

Another example would be that the trader has one trade of 0.20 lots on GBPJPY and another trade of 0.40 lots on USDCAD, using up their full Exposure. If the trader had moved their stop loss on USDCAD to breakeven or in profit, their Exposure of 0.40 lots would be free for them to allocate into another trade.

PS: Any Profit Made By Violating Our Max Risk Exposure Rule Will Not Count Will Not Count Towards The Final Profit Target Objective.

Maximum loss

‍The max loss during the Evaluation Phase is 4% Relative Drawdown.

‍The Relative Drawdown is the maximum difference from the highest Account Realized Current Balance $ to ‎the lowest Equity value $ (unrealized value).‎

‍The losses can never exceed the value of the Maximum Relative Drawdown specified at the start of each ‎Evaluation Phase.‎

For example, For a $12.5K evaluation, the max relative Drawdown is $500. If the starting account balance was $12,500, and at a later time, the funded trader made a profit of $300, bringing the account balance to $12,800. Then the stop out level based on the Relative Drawdown would be $12,800 – $500 = $12,300.

Maximum Time Limit

There is No Maximum Time Limit for the Portfolio Manager Phases to achieve the profit targets.

‍The funded trader is free to achieve the profit targets at their own speed.

‍The funded trader is allowed to have 2 months of no trading activity. If the funded trader wishes to stop trading for a period longer than 2 months, then the funded trader must send an email notifying  about taking a break.

Profit targets and profit share

The Profit Targets for All Portfolio Manager Levels is equivalent to 12.5% of the initial account balance.

‍At each Portfolio Manager phase, the target is defined in net USD $ amount and NOT in %.‎ The % Symbol is for reference only to summarise all Profit Targets $ for all levels.

Profit Split for Portfolio Managers Phases Before The $2Mil Level

‍During these phases, the funded trader takes home 50% profit share at any time the funded trader requests a ‎withdrawal; once per month. ‎

Profit Split for the $2Mil Portfolio Manager Phase

‍During these phases, the funded trader takes home 50% profit share at any time the funded trader requests a ‎withdrawal; once per month. ‎

Please refer to the table below to see a more visual table of each portfolio manager's profit share.

Allowed tradeable assets

During all Portfolio Manager Phases, the funded trader is allowed to trade All 28 currency pairs + Gold + Indices specified below:

‍Gold, S&P500, US30, USTEC, DE30, UK100.‎‎

Major Currency Pairs:
EURUSD, GBPUSD, NZDUSD, AUDUSD, USDCHF, USDCAD, USDJPY.‎

‍Cross Currency Pairs:
EURGBP, EURNZD, EURAUD, EURCHF, EURCAD, EURJPY, GBPNZD, GBPAUD, ‎GBPCHF, ‎GBPCAD, GBPJPY, NZDAUD, NZDCHF, NZDCAD, NZDJPY, AUDCHF, AUDCAD, AUDJPY, ‎CADCHF, CADJPY, ‎CHFJPY.‎

Maximum stop loss value per position

The funded trader must have a Stop Loss placed within 1 minute after placing the order for every and ‎each pending limit order, stop order, and/or market order and for all open trades.

‍The funded trader must consider that every market order, pending order, or stop order has ‎a stop loss of a max of 1.5% risk of the initial account balance $. This means that if the funded trader's ‎account is $50K, each position's max risk should be no more than 1.5% x $50K = $750 per position.‎

‍If the funded trader opens multiple positions on the same currency pair, each position's risk can be up to ‎‎1.5% of the initial account balance (not current recent balance). So, the funded trader can open multiple ‎positions with a 1.5% risk each.

‍For example, the funded trader cannot risk 3% in one trade. However, ‎he/she can open 2, or more, positions with 1.5% risk each on the same or different pairs.

‎PS: Any Profit, Made While Not Having A Stop Loss in Place and/or Risking More Than 1.5% Per Position, Will Not Count Towards The Final Profit Target.

Permitted Trading styles

We allow every trading style.

‎EAs are allowed ‎(High-Frequency Scalping EAs is not allowed)

Hedging is allowed.

‎Holding trades overnight is allowed. ‎

Minimum active trading days

‍There are No Minimum Trading Days Required for the Portfolio Managers to move to next levels.‎

Account growth

Every time the funded trader generates trading profit $ equivalent to 12.5%, LucidFX Funded Program will double the account size up ‎until $2,000,000‎.

The $2M Portfolio Manager Phase

At this Phase, the account will start with $2,000,000, and it will grow at the normal rate based on the profits the ‎funded trader generates each month. ‎

Maximum risk exposure & leverage

The Max Risk Exposure for the Evaluation Phase is 6 :1. ‎

Leverage is 100:1 to allow scaling into winning trades.

Definition:
Maximum Exposure is the maximum amount of lots that a funded trader can have open at ‎one time across all their positions combined

If the funded trader has 2, or more, positions open in the opposite direction on the same currency pair ‎‎‎(hedging), it does not reduce the max risk exposure.‎

For example, if a funded trader is on a $50k fully Funded Account, they have a max exposure of 3 lots (6:1). They could split Exposure however they like. But if they had, for example, 1 long position on GBPUSD of 3 lot, and they moved their stop to breakeven, or in profit, they could then add a further 3 lots either on the same currency pair or a different one.

Another example would be that the trader has one trade of 2 lots on GBPJPY and another trade of 1 lot on USDCAD, using up their full Exposure. If the trader had moved their stop loss on USDCAD to breakeven or in profit, their Exposure of 1 lot would be free for them to allocate into another trade.

PS: Any Profit Made By Violating Our Max Risk Exposure Rule Will Not Count Will Not Count Towards The Final Profit Target Objective.

Maximum loss

‍The max loss during the Portfolio Manager Phases is 4% Fixed loss from initial balance. The fixed loss is defined by 4% Loss if the Initial Account Balance (Not Relative).‎

‍The losses can never exceed 4% of the initial account balance.

‎For example, once you pass the Evaluation Phase on the $12.5K funded account, you will be given a $50K fully funded account to trade as a Portfolio Manager. Then the stop out level based on the 4% Fixed loss would be $50,000 – ($50,000 x 4%) = $48,000. So, the funded trader would not lose the account until the account equity hits $48,000.

FAQ

which rules would disqualify me immediately during the evaluation?

The only way you would get disqualified immediately is if you hit your max loss allowed.

Otherwise, we would never disqualify you without any prior notice. We usually send warning emails of any violations. At some point, if the violations continue without adhering to our risk management policies, then we would disqualify you after letting you know that we would be taking this action.

Generally, you should adhere to these specific rules:

1. Always use a stop loss.
2. Do not risk more than 1.5% position.
3. Only trade allowed tradeable assets 28 currency pairs.
4. Do not risk more than the allowed Max Risk Exposure of 5:1.

If you happen to break any of the rules 1 to 4 above, we will not disqualify you, but any profit made by violating any of the rules above will not count towards your final evaluation target and we will have to extend your profit target by the amount of the violations.

For example, If you Evaluation Profit Target is $300, but you have violated the No Stop Loss Rule but trading without a stop loss and made a profit of $50. Then you would phase 2 scenarios:

1. If you pass the evaluation: then at the end of your evaluation, your target would be extended by $50, and you would need to continue trading until you hit $350.

2. If you fail the evaluation with a profit (let's say $90), then we would deduct the profit made by violation $50, and we would pay you the remaining $40 profit.

How many funded accounts are we allowed to have?

You are allowed to have up to 5 evaluation funded accounts at the same time.

However, once passing the evaluation, you are allowed only 1 PM fully funded account.

This is because we look for independent traders to diversify our risk; hence, having more than 1 fully funded account with the same funded trader will expose us to at least double the risk.

What if I hit the evaluation target early with fewer trades and less time?

You’d be doing a good job! In this situation, carry on trading the same way until you meet all the other time and trade requirements. We use the trade quantity and time requirements to show us that you will be a responsible trader and trust to allocate capital to you so can trade our capital.

PS: trades in & out only to fulfill the 30 min active trading days requirements will not be counted. We have our evaluation rules to properly assess the trader's performances over at least 30 trades.

You can reduce the risk but not opening 0.01 lots to fulfil the requirements without proper trading.

What happens to the lot sizes every time the funded account is doubled?

The lot sizes also double to scale with the account. For example, If the max lot size for the evaluation phase of the $12.5K funded account is 0.62, your lot size will grow from 0.62 lots to 3 lots once you become a LucidFX Portfolio Manager. Once we double the account size to $100K, then the lot size will double from 3 to 6 lots, and so on ...

Does the funded trader get penalized for not using a stop loss?

Yes. You should use a stop loss at all time. Once placing your order, your next action should be placing a stop loss so our system doesn't flag your trade.

Any profits made with no stop loss will not be counted towards your final profit target.

Do i get disqualified immediately if i break any of the rules?

No. LucidFX doesn't disqualify its evaluation funded trader when making a mistake. We give flexibility with the rules and guidelines and notifies the funded trader about any violations during the evaluation and/or after failing the evaluation, and/or after passing the evaluation.

Simply, any profit made with violation of the risk management rules will not be counted towards the final profit target.

Do i have to trade for the full evaluation period?

No. The evaluation period is up to 12 months. If you complete all the requirements before the 1 year period, then you will be upgraded to the Portfolio Manager with a fully funded account, as long as you have met all the other requirements.

Am i allowed to risk more than the max. lot exposure?

Yes, you can under 1 condition, To move your stop loss to breakeven. For example, if you have reached the max lot exposure of 0.62 lots for the $12.5K evaluation funded account for all open trades, and you moved the stop loss of all open trades to breakeven, then you would free up another 0.62 lots to scale into the your initial trade.

Please remember, the most important rule is to have a max exposure of 5:1 for all evaluation funded accounts, and 6:1 for all fully funded accounts on the PMs levels, at a given time for all the open positions combined.

What trading platform does lucidFX use for its funded accounts? Can i use mT4 on my mobile device?

You will be using MetaTrader 4 (commonly known as MT4); the top choice for most FX traders as we want to accommodate all traders.

Also, MT4 can be downloaded on via the Google Play Store, or the Apple App Store. Please get in touch if you are having issues downloading MT4 on your mobile device!

Is the max risk exposure 5:1 thesame as leverage 5:1?

No. The Max Risk Exposure 5:1 is Not the same as Leverage 5:1. With a Leverage 5:1, you are worse off because you are limited with the account margins limit. While Max Exposure with 5:1 and leverage of 100:1 allows you to scale into the trades comfortably without having any restriction with the account margins.

A Max Risk exposure of 5:1 simply means, how many lots you can have open with a stop loss at risk. Consider these scenarios If you are on a $12.5K evaluation account and your Max Risk Exposure is 5:1

a. If you open a trade open with 0.6 lots with stop loss NOT at break-even or in profit => then your Max Risk exposure is 5:1.

b. If you have a trade open with 0.6 lots with stop loss AT break even or in profit => your Max Risk exposure at this time is 0. (nothing at risk). So you can open another 0.6 lots into a new trade. and your total open lots are not 1.2 lots. (so you are not limited by the Leverage any leverage or high margin requirements).

What's the funded accounts leverage?

We have 100:1 leverage on our funded accounts. However, this should not affect your trading as you have a max exposure rule that you would need to stay within.

We allow higher leverage to help you scale into the trades once you have free exposure that you can allocate into more trades.

How long does it take to receive the mt4 account credentials after making the payment?

We'll send you your login credentials within 24-48 hours. If you don't receive them within that time, please contact us and we will give them to you as soon as possible.

How long does it take for one to receive their mt4 account credentials after making the payment?

Usually, it is done immediately through our automated systems. If you don't receive the funding within 30 min, then please us and we will be more than happy to help you get funded as soon as possible.

what payments Methods are available?

The only method of payment on our website is by Credit/Debit Card.

However, if you have been struggling making a payment and you prefer another method, we can accept  Bank Transfer, and/or PayPal. if you prefer one of those 2 last methods, please email us on support@lucidfx.co.

Why can't i trade indices and gold during the evaluation phase?

Your goal from the evaluation is to show us you have a sound risk management approach and to learn how to control risk. Gold is highly volatile and can cause huge losses if not managed well. Therefore, we require you to do the evaluation only on the 28 forex pairs allowed by us and then you would be able to trade Gold during the Portfolio Manager Phases.

In terms of Indices, our liquidity provider requires a minimum of 1 lot to open a trade on indices, therefore, the risk and lot size would be higher than the max risk per position and max exposures defined during the evaluation phases.

But don't worry, it's just 1 phases. Perform well, and you will be able to trade both Gold + Indices during all the next levels.

do i pay any fees after the evaluation?

No. There are no fees whatsoever after the 1st payment at the beginning of the evaluation. Also, there are no monthly or hidden fees. We are 100% transparent in our fee structure and we only ask traders to cover the initial potential loss for their evaluation.

Which broker does lucidFX use?

We use a 3rd party to ensure best price execution, and to connect us directly to our liquidity provider using STP (Straight Through Processing). It is vital you understand that you’re one of our clients and not our broker's client. LucidFX is the broker’s client.
